Dr. Ibrahim Elaraoud MBBCh, MSc, FEBO, FRCOphth, FRCSC
Dr. Ibrahim Elaraoud is an accomplished ophthalmologist and visionary leader with a passion for improving healthcare systems. Since making PEI his home in 2018, he has been dedicated to enhancing medical services on the island. Dr. Elaraoud's commitment to innovation and patient care has been evident through his efforts in repatriating retina services to PEI, culminating in the first retina surgery performed on the island in 2022. With a wealth of experience spanning three continents, Dr. Elaraoud brings a unique perspective to addressing healthcare challenges faced by advanced countries with single-payer systems. His tenure as the medical director for Ambulatory Care Services at QEH in Charlottetown, where he led a team of over 30 medical specialists, showcases his leadership and operational acumen in healthcare management. Dr. Guy Boswall MD, FRCSC, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Building with Vision Limited. With a strong background in ophthalmology and a deep commitment to improving healthcare accessibility on Prince Edward Island, Dr. Boswall is dedicated to driving the success of the company's cutting-edge MRI clinic. Key responsibilities will include: • Leading the strategic vision and direction of the MRI clinic to ensure efficient and effective operations; • Collaborating with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to enhance healthcare accessibility and quality on the island; • Overseeing the implementation of state-of-the-art technology and best practices in MRI services; • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards to provide safe and reliable diagnostic services; and • Fostering a culture of patient-centered care and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.
Dr. Andrew Boswall BSc, MD, FRCSC
Dr. Andrew Boswall BSc, MD, FRCSC, a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, is set to lead Building with Vision Limited in its mission to establish a cutting-edge MRI clinic to address healthcare deficiencies on the island, specifically targeting prolonged wait times. With a $6.6 million investment, the clinic aims to offer efficient MRI services, enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality under Dr. Boswall's expert guidance. Key responsibilities will include: • Spearheading the development and implementation of the strategic vision for the MRI clinic; • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the clinic meets the highest medical standards; • Overseeing the operational aspects of the clinic to ensure efficiency and effectiveness; • Establishing partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance healthcare accessibility on the island; and • Ensuring that the clinic's services align with the company's goal of improving the health and well-being of all Islanders.
Mr. Blair Murphy, CET
Mr. Blair Murphy, CET has worked in the public service for 35 years before joining Building with Vision.
Mr. Murphy has managed the Level III National Laboratory facilities portfolio as part of the Desing and Construction Corporate group from 2005 to 2020. During this period Mr. Murphy has been nominated for a National Service Excellence Award.
Mr. Murphy has extensive experience of all building capacities from HVAC, Mechanical, Architectural and regulatory programs. Including BCR’s, Feasibility Studies, Asbestos Abatement and Capital Investment Planning.
Mr. Murphy has acted as design lead and project manager for all the projects from concept to occupancy. A broad range of projects including residential, commercial, industrial and institutional facilities.
